top 5 questions
WE ARE ASKED ABOUT INSURANCE

Q: Is losing Medicaid a qualifying event?

A: Yes, you will have 60 days from the date you lose Medicaid to enroll into an affordable care act plan.  Resolute Advisors can help you find a plan and help determine if you are eligible for tax credits(subsidy) to help pay for your plan through Connect for Health. Resolute is contracted with Connect for Health and is the only place where you can receive tax credits in the state of Colorado.

Q: How do pre-existing conditions affect my ability to get health insurance?

A: Under the affordable care act pre-existing conditions do not exist as criteria to have a health insurance policy.  You can get a policy with no health questions asked during open enrollment or through a qualifying event outside open enrollment.

Q: What is the difference between whole life and term life insurance?

A: Whole life insurance is a type of permanent life insurance that provides coverage for your entire life and typically includes a cash value component, while term life insurance provides coverage for a specified period of time.

Q: Can I change my health insurance plan mid-year?

A: In most cases, you can only change your health insurance plan during open enrollment or if you experience a qualifying life event such as a marriage, divorce, or job loss.

Q: How do I choose the right life insurance coverage amount?

A: The amount of life insurance coverage you need depends on factors such as your income, debt, and future financial goals. Our team can help you evaluate your needs and determine an appropriate coverage amount.
